Ridgecrest Families!

Can you believe it, we will be starting school in-person, 5 days week starting this Thursday, September 2 for grades 1-6 and Support Center. Our kindergarteners will start on Wednesday, September 8. We cannot wait to see all of you and your students here shortly. I have put together a handy reference guide for families with important information about our school. Click on and save this link to view: 21-22 Info card.  We will provide hard copies for families at our upcoming Family Connection Meetings. Your teacher will be reaching out to you via email to set up your Family Connection Meeting this week! Be watching your email!

Just in time for back to school, we have reopened our Raider Gear Online Store with Winning Seasons! You can now go online to purchase Raider Spirit Gear by going to https://winningseasons.net/team-sales/ridgecrest/. The online store will be open until Friday, September 17.

I sincerely appreciate all of the responses to the survey I sent out last week. In response to your questions, I have updated our Ridgecrest Systems and Protocols document to reflect changes for the upcoming school year Ridgecrest Systems and Procedures for In-Person Learning 2021-22. Please take time to read through this document to be abreast on all the systems we have in place this year for school opening. I also took time to answer many of your questions from the survey in this Question and Answer document Q & A from Ridgecrest Families August 2021. Many of the questions were similar, so I only addressed unique questions.

On Aug. 30 at 6 p.m., our superintendent, Dr. John Polm, is holding a virtual Back to School Town Hall Meeting. You are invited to tune in to hear what the latest health and safety requirements are for in-person instruction, in addition to learning how our path to recovery will ensure a sense of belonging so that all students can excel.  Submit any questions you have now or join the chat-based discussion during the event. Click here to join the meeting via Teams Live There are 3 ways to access the live event:

  • Mobile Device:  Download the free Teams App beforehand
  • Student’s Computer:  Log-in required
  • Non-District Computer

The Town Hall will be recorded and posted to the district website after the event concludes.

I look forward to seeing you and your student(s) on campus this week for our Family Connection Meetings. Please let me know if you have other questions that I have not addressed. I am here to help and support in any way possible. I will also be sending out a recorded presentation that goes over some of our important school information early this week.

Let's go, Raiders!
